AI Literacy Resources

From what I understand, the Digital Competence Framework (DCF) is being updated sometime this year (2026). The DCF was launched back in September 2016, with Kirsty Williams, the then education secretary, saying that "DCF will put Wales in a world-leading position in terms of integrating digital skills across the curriculum." After 10 years it probably does need an update, especially with regards to generative AI use in schools. I actually hope that the amount of 'stuff' that schools have to do is reduced a little and that they don't just add more 'stuff' in. We wait and see. I believe we should be seeing a draft version of the updated DCF very soon. Anticipating the introduction of AI literacy, it therefore seems like a good time to start pulling together AI literacy resources that are already available for schools to use. It's interesting, but perhaps not too surprising, that most of the teaching and learning resources are aimed at the secondary school and not the primary school. Hopefully this list should also help me when it comes to updating The Digital Learning Den to reflect these potential coming changes.

Here's a list of what I've found so far that maybe helpful. I'll be keeping a close eye on any new resources and possibly adding them to this list at a future date.

Common Sense Education

Two Truths & AI Game - Two Truths & AI is an interactive digital literacy game for grades K–12 that teaches students to identify AI-generated content and develop critical media literacy skills. Through an engaging, 60-second challenge, students try to distinguish between real and AI-generated movie posters. It's a fun way for students to test their AI detective skills, while also building their critical thinking muscles.
